Boston's tournament champions are now on the official record. Chris Trencher won the ABT Open Championship, Abraham Mosseri won the eight-player Super Jackpot and Karen Janowsky won the Women's World of Backgammon Lee Genud Cup. Those results close the on-board title questions. They do not, by themselves, tell us who won Bet On Gammon's fantasy contests.
The champions in Natick
| Tournament competition | Champion | Runner-up |
|---|---|---|
| ABT Open Championship | Chris Trencher | Albert Steg |
| Super Jackpot | Abraham Mosseri | Ed Ahola |
| WWB Lee Genud Cup | Karen Janowsky | April Mesich |
The Open report lists a field of 76, with Tony Wuersch third, Garry Kallos and Ryan Rebelo sharing fourth–fifth, and Marty Gross and Michael Tobin sharing sixth–seventh. In the WWB report, April Mesich was second and Bita Zakeri third; Carol Joy Cole and Abigail Ackerman finished first and second in consolation. The published WWB heading gives 24 entries, which should not be confused with the earlier 17-player registration snapshot including re-entries.
Fantasy ranking pending verification
Our November 6 check found two submitted teams in each Boston fantasy contest. All six currently show zero stored points, but that is not a final six-way result: Open and WWB have no scored awards, while Super Jackpot retains only its earlier six-match record. The three contests are now closed and archived, with final fantasy results explicitly pending verification.
No Boston contest-specific scoring rules were stored at that check. Rather than choose a new scoring policy after entries closed, final calculation remains on hold until the applicable rules and missing result coverage are verified. Existing teams, captain choices and saved salaries have been preserved.
Final fantasy rankings, the winning submitted lineup and the best possible legal lineup are pending verification. No fantasy user, team or prize is declared a winner here without a final, complete scoring record. The panels below read stored contest scoring and public team standings; a failed lookup is not treated as zero entries or a zero-point winner.

View contest pageWhy picking the champion is not the whole contest
A fantasy lineup contains six players under the 50,000 FC cap, with one captain earning 1.5 times the points. Other roster limits still matter: no more than two former Monte Carlo World Champions and no more than three salaries strictly above 9,000 FC. A top scorer cannot simply be joined by five expensive names and called the best legal team.
Saved salaries and captain choices belong to each submitted lineup. A post-tournament price, a new badge or a player's later title cannot rewrite those choices. Actual winning teams must be ranked from their recorded picks and contest totals; a theoretical best lineup is a separate analysis of the eligible pool and the prices applicable at the deadline.
What belongs in the scoring breakdown
Each contest must use its own scoring rules. Official placements support statements about who finished where, but they do not supply every match win, bye or gammon. Boston's earlier Super Jackpot update recorded six verified match wins with their applicable main-bracket bonuses; it explicitly stopped before the then-pending final. A final recap must reconcile that snapshot with the confirmed champion rather than call the old provisional totals final.
The MoreSwiss Open and the re-entry Women's Cup cannot be reconstructed safely from the three champion names. Match-level scoring needs the corresponding draw or result evidence. Exact scores and gammon/backgammon multipliers are omitted when sources do not establish them. Side events, Intermediate titles and the separate Masters Jackpot do not automatically score in these three contests.
No fantasy prize is announced
These online contests are free play for virtual points. No Boston fantasy prize or cash award is announced. Physical tournament entry fees and payouts are separate from the website's fantasy product. No prize amount, sponsor or claim period has been invented for this recap.
