    1. Scope and contact

This policy explains personal information handled through the Bet On Gammon website, including Backgammon Social Club content and Bet On Reach agency enquiries on this site. Separate event registration websites, venues, client engagements and third-party services may have their own notices. The relevant operator should identify itself when collecting information.

Contact our privacy request address to ask about information we hold, request a correction, raise a concern or exercise applicable rights. Please do not send passwords, identity documents or sensitive financial information in an ordinary enquiry.

We do not require payment card information, bank details, precise location, government identification, a full birth date or a telephone number for ordinary free play. If a later lawful promotion requires winner delivery or tax information, its rules and collection notice will explain the specific information needed. We will request it through an appropriate process at that stage.

We may use information to investigate misuse, handle complaints, comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims. Optional profiling information should be collected only for an explained purpose, with a real choice where appropriate. We do not treat accepting the terms as permission for unlimited data collection or unrelated marketing.

    3. Information visible to others

Public competitor profiles and event records are intended to be public. They are distinct from account records and marketing subscriptions.

Fantasy leaderboards display team and display names, scores and the contest information exposed by that feature, including captain information after lock. Prediction leaderboards may show a display name, avatar and virtual participation statistics. An opaque or hashed identifier is not a promise of anonymity.

We do not intentionally publish account email addresses or private enquiry messages. Use a public display name that does not disclose information you wish to keep private. Ask us about inaccurate or inappropriate public information; requests are assessed in context and under applicable rights.

    4. Optional marketing and the Bet On Reach brands

You can choose separately whether to receive:

    • Bet On Gammon news and fantasy or prediction updates;
    • Backgammon Social Club event news; and
    • Bet On Reach offers, including clearly identified sponsor offers sent by Bet On Reach.

Choices are optional, unticked by default and independent of free participation. We record changes with the topic, version, source and time. You can withdraw a choice through account preferences or our privacy request address. Marketing messages, when introduced, will include an easy unsubscribe method.

We do not automatically subscribe people who appear in public tournament records, send an enquiry, accept terms or enter a game. An agreement to receive our sponsor offers is not permission for a sponsor to receive your email address or market to you directly. Any such proposal would need a separate, specific disclosure and lawful arrangement.

Essential account, verification, security and requested-service communications are handled separately from optional marketing.

    5. Providers, disclosures and commercial reporting

We use hosting, authentication, database and related technical services, including Lovable hosting and Supabase authentication/database infrastructure. Google or Apple may provide sign-in when you choose that method. These services receive information needed for their role.

Authorised personnel and contractors may access information for their work, subject to appropriate access restrictions and confidentiality. We may disclose information where legally required, to address fraud or security threats, to protect legal rights, or in a genuine business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required.

We do not sell account email lists or identifiable gameplay histories, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as part of the current site model. Sponsors may receive campaign information or aggregated reports that do not identify individual participants. We will not describe small groups or hashed records as anonymous where people can still reasonably be identified.

    6. Browser storage, analytics and embedded content

The website uses browser storage for authentication and saved fantasy drafts. Blocking or clearing that storage can sign you out or remove an unsent local draft.

This website does not currently use advertising pixels, cross-site advertising tags or an advertising network. Our hosting services do provide usage analytics, and ordinary technical information is still processed to deliver and secure the site.

External media and resources may include YouTube, Instagram, Google Fonts and USBGF documents. When the website or your interaction loads an external resource, the provider may receive your IP address, browser information and other request information, and may apply its own cookies or tracking practices, including recognition of an account you hold with it. Those providers publish their own privacy and storage information.

We do not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is no current sale/sharing advertising activity for a Global Privacy Control signal to stop. We do not alter essential service operations in response to older Do Not Track signals. Before introducing optional tracking that requires consent or opt-out controls, we will provide the required notice and working controls. Browser settings can also limit cookies and third-party content.

    7. Retention and security

We keep information for the period needed for its stated purposes, taking account of account activity, support, contest integrity, record accuracy, legal obligations and disputes. We review information that is no longer needed and delete or appropriately de-identify it. We may retain a limited consent, suppression or security record to respect your choices and prevent abuse.

Public historical competition records are assessed separately from account information; closing an account does not automatically remove an independently sourced historical result. We review individual rights and correction requests rather than applying an unlimited retention rule.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information, including access controls. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

    8. Requests and your rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, opt out of sale or advertising-related sharing, and complain to a regulator. Specific rights and exceptions vary by location and the processing involved.

Send requests to betonreach@gmail.com, including “Privacy request” in the subject if convenient. This is also our designated address for a Nevada request not to sell covered information. You can submit such a request even though our current business model does not sell that information.

We may need proportionate information to verify a request or an authorised representative. We will respond within applicable legal periods and explain any relevant exception. Do not send identity documents unless we specifically explain a necessary secure verification process. We do not penalise a person for exercising applicable privacy rights.

    9. Children, international processing and changes

Accounts and interactive play are intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect account information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information; we will investigate and take appropriate steps. An age statement does not replace any duties that apply to children’s information.

We operate from the United States. Providers may process information in countries other than where you live, where protections can differ. Applicable transfer requirements depend on the processing and locations involved. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.

We will post the effective date of revisions and give additional notice of material changes when appropriate. A policy update alone will not be used to invent earlier marketing consent or authorise an incompatible new use.
